Residents are invited to share their input at the public hearing during the City Council Meeting on February 3 at approximately 6:30 PM at City Hall, as we move forward with a plan to create a new downtown pocket park at 155 Main Street, funded by a grant from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s Green Acres Program.

On January 28, the Hackensack Mayor and Council approved a $6.5 million emergency transfer to the Hackensack Board of Education, ensuring educational continuity for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year in the wake of a recently-discovered $17 million shortfall to the Hackensack Public Schools budget.
