The Hackensack Police Department announces the arrest of 36 year old Terrell T. Loyd (DOB-11/11/1989) of Hackensack, NJ on multiple weapons and drug charges, following an investigation conducted by the Crime Supression Bureau.
On January 22, 2026, Hackensack detectives and officers executed court authorized search warrants of Loyd’s apartment and a self storage unit. Four handguns, including a defaced Taurus G2C 9mm pistol, were recovered. Hundreds of rounds of ammunition were seized, including armor piercing ammunition, a 9mm magazine with a 30 round drum attachment, and other illegal large magazines. Approximately one kilogram of cocaine with an approximate street value of $18,600, packaging materials for distribution, and a kilo press were also secured as evidence. More than $12,000 in suspected proceeds from the sale of drugs was also seized.
Terrell T. Loyd was criminally charged with multiple counts of Possession of CDS with Intent to Distribute/1st Degree, multiple counts of Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose/2nd Degree, Money Laundering/2nd Degree, and numerous related weapons and CDS charges. Loyd was processed and remanded to the Bergen County Jail on a Complaint Warrant pending his first appearance at Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ. These charges are merely an accusation and each defendant is presumed innocent unless, and, until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
The Hackensack Police Department extends appreciation for assistance to Bergen County Sheriff Officer Dario Terrano, his K-9, Armani, and to Bergen County Regional SWAT.
Police Chief Michael Antista added “This case is a reminder of the dangers officers face every day and why their work is so critical. Removing these drugs and guns makes our community safer, and I commend the Crime Suppression Bureau and others for their hard work and dedication.”
