Hackensack Launches Recycle Coach

In a continued effort to enhance environmental sustainability, the City of Hackensack is proud to announce that Hackensack is now on Recycle Coach, an incredible mobile and web app designed to improve recycling education and participation among residents. This initiative aligns with Hackensack’s commitment to fostering a cleaner, greener community through innovative solutions and community engagement.

This step forward with Recycle Coach is another significant stride in Hackensack’s ongoing efforts to promote environmental stewardship, much like the City’s recent collaboration on improving water quality and reducing flooding through a landmark agreement with the NJDEP and regional partners.

Recycle Coach offers an intuitive mobile app and web platform that simplifies waste management for users. By providing personalized waste management information, collection schedules, and recycling tips, the platform empowers residents to make informed decisions about their waste, reducing contamination and boosting recycling rates citywide. Additionally, the app features specific educational materials from the New Jersey Clean Communities program, helping residents understand the importance of proper waste disposal and litter reduction.

The New Jersey Clean Communities program is a statewide initiative focused on reducing litter and promoting sustainable waste management practices. Through educational outreach and community engagement, the program aims to foster environmental responsibility among residents and businesses.

Residents are encouraged to download the Recycle Coach app, available on both iOS and Android devices, or try the web app out below.
