Tree Maintenance Worker 1

Under direction, performs semi-skilled and manual work to assist in pruning, feeding, bracing, repairing, spraying, removing/transplanting trees and shrubs, stump removal, splitting of logs, and wood chipping. Successful candidate will
learn to climb trees using a ladder, climbing hooks and belts, an aerial truck, and other manual or mechanical equipment used to aid in performing tree maintenance tasks; does related work as required. Must have the ability to work from heights in excess of 30 feet and to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 pounds. Applicant must possess experience in the tasks listed above. Appointees are required to possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license, CDL a plus. Salary D.O.Q. within salary range: $40,000 to $56,750. This is a full-time, contractual position which includes health benefits, generous PTO, and enrollment in the State Pension Plan upon permanent appointment.
