Building Inspector

Under direction, inspects new and existing buildings and structures to ensure compliance with the state uniform construction code. Enforces same to ensure public safety, health, and welfare; does other related work as required. Knowledge of structural design and techniques in regards to wood framing, steel and wall systems, foundations, floors, & roofs. Knowledge of material standards, inspection tools, and test methods. Must possess a valid HHS building inspector’s license. Appointees will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in NJ. Salary D.O.Q. within salary range: $60,000 to $90,000.
