New Milford Man Arrested Following Search Warrant

The Hackensack Police Department announces the arrest of 39-year-old ROY C. THEODORE (DOB: 09/27/1986, unemployed) of New Milford NJ, on several criminal charges in reference to a narcotics investigation. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Crime Suppression Bureau, under the direction of Chief Michael Antista.

On April 1, 2026, members of the Crime Suppression Bureau, with the assistance of the Hackensack Police Department Emergency Service Unit, executed a Bergen County Superior Court authorized search warrant at ROY C. THEODORE’S apartment in New Milford. The search warrant yielded a quantity of crack/cocaine packaged for street level narcotic sales, approximately $18,200.00 in suspected narcotic proceeds derived from criminal activity, and a narcotics manufacturing operation established for the processing and distribution of the narcotics.

As a result of the investigation, ROY C. THEODORE was charged with maintaining or operating a controlled dangerous substance production facility / 2C:35-4 (first degree), manufacturing, distributing, or possession with the intent to to distribute / 2C:35-5B(5) (third degree), financial facilitation of criminal activity / 2C:21-25A (third degree), and distribute, dispense or possess with intent to distribute or manufacture / 2C:36-3 (fourth degree).

ROY C. THEODORE was processed and transported to the Bergen County Jail on a Complaint Warrant pending his initial appearance at Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ. These charges are merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless, and until, proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
