Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella announced the arrest of 20-year-old JESUS ARELLANO of Lodi, NJ, on the charge of possession of child sexual abuse material. The arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office under the direction of Chief Jeff Angermeyer.

On Thursday, August 6, 2026, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a court-authorized search warrant at the residence of JESUS ARELLANO during the course of an Internet child sexual abuse material investigation. The investigation revealed that ARELLANO used the Internet to view, download, and possess 191 items depicting nude and/or sexually explicit prepubescent and pubescent children.

As a result of the investigation, on Thursday, August 6, 2026, JESUS ARELLANO was arrested in Paramus, NJ, and charged with third-degree possession of child pornography, N.J.S.A. 2C:24-4b(5)(b)(iii). ARELLANO was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella states that the charge is merely an accusation, and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
