Hackensack To Kick Off 4th Annual Wellness Journey

The Hackensack Health Department in partnership with the Bergen County Community Health Improvement Partnership (BCCHIP), is thrilled to announce the 4th Annual Wellness Journey. This event aims to promote health and wellness throughout the community.

The Wellness Journey kicks off with a Wellness Fair on Saturday, March 22nd, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hackensack Civic Center. Attendees can register in person to receive a free T-shirt and Walking Program Starter Kit. This engaging event offers an exciting opportunity for the whole family to embark on a path to health and wellness.

The 8-week program features weekly Zumba classes, a one-mile walk, and various community events, all designed to explore and enhance the 8 dimensions of wellness: physical, emotional, knowledge, environmental, work, financial, spiritual/mindfulness, and social connection. Participants will also have the opportunity to stay connected with local resources and partners supporting their journey to wellness.

Classes and activities will be held on Saturday mornings at 8:30 AM, from March 29th through May 14th. The Hackensack Health Department is offering a FREE weekly 45-minute ZUMBA class followed by a one-mile walk. In addition to these fitness initiatives, information on other events and FREE or low-cost programs will be provided to support Hackensack families on their wellness path.

Participants in the 2025 Wellness Journey will receive a complimentary package including a free t-shirt, walking/wellness kit, wellness journey passport, and more. The Hackensack Health Department encourages community members to make health and wellness a priority and not miss out on this fun and engaging opportunity.
