Father and Son Arrested for Drug Dealing and Possession of Loaded Handgun

The Hackensack Police Department announces the arrest of Jahfari R. Miller (DOB: 6/24/83) and Miller (DOB: 11/7/05) both from Hackensack New Jersey, on several criminal charges in reference to a narcotics distribution investigation conducted by the Crime Suppression Bureau.

On December 12, 2024, a Superior Court ordered search warrant was executed in an apartment
within the jurisdiction of Hackensack, as well as a 2021 Chevy Tahoe, as a result of an investigation conducted by Det. Aaron Rios and the Crime Suppression Bureau, under the leadership of D/Lt. John Dalton. The search warrant yielded over 6 pounds of crystal methamphetamine, quantities of cocaine, and packaging material. An aftermarket hidden compartment was located within the vehicle that yielded a stolen, loaded Ruger LCP handgun, along with additional narcotics.

As a result of the investigation, Jahfari Raheem Miller and Melachi Miller were charged with
narcotics distribution of over 6 pounds of crystal methamphetamine / 2C:35-5A(1) (first degree
crime) and multiple other drug charges. Additionally, Jahfari Miller was charged with several firearm possession charges. Jahfari Miller and Melachi Miller were processed and transported to the Bergen County Jail on a complaint warrant pending their first appearance at Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack, NJ. These charges are merely an accusation and each defendant is presumed innocent unless, and until, proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
