PUBLIC MEETING NOTICE

 

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at 7:00 P.M., the Mayor and Council of the City of Hackensack will conduct an Electronic Public Meeting in lieu of its in-person regular Public Meeting previously advertised for the Council Chambers at Hackensack City Hall on that date and at that time.  City Hall will not be open to the public for this meeting. 

 

The Committee of the Whole (“COW”) meeting will be held at 6:00 P.M. and the City Council will be holding a closed executive session at 5:00 P.M.   To ensure the security of the meeting and protect the confidentiality of the discussions, the City will not be providing access to the public for the closed executive session.  No formal governmental action will be taken prior to the start of the public meeting at 7:00 P.M.   The Council will thereafter provide an explanation of the reasons for the closed executive session to the public as required.

 

Members of the public may observe and participate in the public portion of the Committee of the Whole (“COW”) meeting starting at 6:00 P.M. by using the “Zoom” online meeting platform.  The on-line meeting can be accessed using the following Internet link:

The meeting can be also accessed by entering Zoom meeting ID number 883 9957 2329. The meeting password is 299020.

The Mayor and City Council will be accepting e-mailed public comments in advance of the meeting for those individuals who are unable to participate electronically.   The comments will be read into the record by the City Clerk.   The three minute limit for comments will continue to apply for any comments submitted.  You may e-mail comments to Deputy City Clerk Allison Saabye at asaabye@hackensack.org.   

 

This Electronic Public Meeting is being held in lieu of an in-person public meeting due to the state of emergency arising from the current situation involving the COVID-19 Virus and to ensure the health, safety and welfare of the public.
