On Monday, March 28, 2016 Hackensack’s City Council broke ground on a new splash pad at Carver Park. An existing splash pad at Polifly Park has proven to be very popular with neighborhood families. “There’s a big demand among city residents,” said Mayor John Labrosse. “This project helps meet the demand and brings summer relief closer to home for many residents,” added Mayor Labrosse. V&K Construction started work on March 28th and the project is anticipated to be completed by mid-June.
The splash pad will provide an array of water activities for children. The project will include new bathrooms. “The splash pad is great way for kids to beat the heat and I’m thrilled that we are able to build one in Carver Park,” said Councilman David Sims.
