We need your help and your time!
Our Volunteer Ambulance Corps members work tirelessly and without pay. The volunteers keep returning because of their dedication and pride in the community, the incredible sense of satisfaction in helping to save a life, deliver a baby, administer CPR or just assist a fellow person in their time of need.
We are in immediate need of more volunteer Emergency Medical Technicians. The training is flexible to meet your schedule, it is provided locally (in Paramus, Mahwah, or Pequannock) at no cost to the prospective volunteer member.
Our Ambulance Corps is one of the busiest in the State of New Jersey. We provide EMS in an urban setting, and if you are looking to develop your EMS skills, there is no better volunteer organization in which to hone your skills.
The next round of basic training classes begins in early September. Please read the applications below for training, select and print the course you would like to attend, and contact the Corps no later than August 20, 2009. Classes do fill quickly so complete the application as soon as possible. Once you have completed ONE of the applications below, please return it to Hackensack Police Department Headquarters, where you will then complete a Criminal Background Check form. You will be contacted by the Ambulance Corps shortly thereafter.

Once certified, volunteers contribute their time to the Corps in six-hour increments, from 6:00 p.m. to midnight and midnight to 6:00 a.m., on weekdays or weekends. While any time commitment is greatly appreciated and accepted, the majority of the volunteers contribute more than 60 hours per month!
