New members are needed!!

The Hackensack Volunteer Ambulance Corps is continually recruiting and training new EMT's. Emergency Medical Technician training is free in New Jersey to members of a Volunteer Ambulance Corps. The Bergen County EMS Training Center in Paramus and the Bergen County Police Academy in Mahwah have announced their Fall 2008 Emergency Medical Technician training programs. Anyone interested in receiving this free, life saving training is encouraged to apply to join the Hackensack Volunteer Ambulance Corps. Applications are available at the Hackensack Police Department 24 hours a day. A mandatory meeting of potential recruits will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 7:00pm. This meeting will be held at the Hackensack Civic Center, located behind Police Headquarters at 225 State Street in Hackensack.

August 21, 2008 is also the last day that applications can be submitted for the fall training sessions. Anyone with questions regarding the training can contact Sgt. Brian Corcoran of the Hackensack Police Department at (201) 646-7727.
