3/14/2005 - Vol 2. of Exciting Times: Upper Main Alliance

    Monday, March 14th, 2005

Welcome from the Upper Main Alliance, a public private partnership formed as an alliance between the business community and the City of Hackensack.

This e-mail program has been established to keep our members, City officials and the general public informed on programs, goals and accomplishments of our organization.

    • We would like to thank the Mayor and City Council for approving our 2005 budget at their February l8th public meeting. This will enable our organization to move forward with the formation of several new programs that you will hear about in the upcoming months.

    • Forty-eight (48) banners have been ordered and are scheduled to be displayed within our district on Main Street in early April.

    • The Upper Main Alliance has created a co-op advertising program to contribute co-op dollars to any business located within the district, between Mercer Street and Clinton Place, that places its advertising within our ad shell during the calendar year March through December 2005. The focus of this program is to differentiate our district, "Upper Main", from the rest of Main Street. With all of our advertising members within the district utilizing our advertising shell, we will bring to the attention of the general public that there is a place called "Upper Main". Over time this will serve to help "Upper Main" be a positive destination for our consumers. Click here for more about this program.

    • The Upper Main Alliance has allocated $25,000.00 for this program for the year 2005. Applicants will be asked to complete a simple application and reimbursement will be as follows: Maximum reimbursement will be 15% of the total cost of the ad with a maximum reimbursement of $250.00 per ad. The maximum reimbursement will be $2,500.00 for each participant per year.

    • For an application, click here.  If you have any questions call the Upper Main Alliance office at: (201) 498-1690.

The mission of the Upper Main Alliance is to address issues facing the business community with the goal of improving the local economy and the overall business climate in Hackensack.

We look forward to the future and your support to bring exciting times back to Hackensack's Upper Main business district.
