CITY OF HACKENSACK

NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed bids for furnishing and supplying to the City of Hackensack, Department of Public Works, a proposal to contract for the purchase and delivery of a 2008 INTERNATIONAL MODEL 7400SBA 6X4 WITH A LEACH 2R11 32 YARD PACKER BODY AND ONE (1) 2007 WX64 AUTOCAR CHASIS WITH LABRIE MODEL ORTIMIZER FORTY (40) CUBIC YARD FRONTLOADER BODY or approved equal, will be received by the City Clerk of the City of Hackensack, Bergen County, New Jersey, in the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, 65 Central Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey, on TUESDAY, MAY 22, 2007, 10:00 A.M., at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Specifications for the above may be obtained at the office of the Director of Purchasing, 65 Central Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey, between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., daily, except Saturday, Sundays and Holidays.

The City of Hackensack WILL NOT mail specifications. All specifications shall be obtained in person.

Proposals shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope and the envelope shall have written on it, plainly, the contract to which it refers.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975, c 127.

Copy of Contractors registration Certificate or a copy of application for such Certificate must be presented with submitted bid, if not, bid will be rejected.

Bidder must have a BUSINESS REGISTRATION CERTIFICATE or bid will be rejected.

Bidder must include in bid package 1) Letter of Federal Approval, or 2) Certificate of Employee Information Report, or 3) Complete Form AA 302.

The City of Hackensack requires Public Work contractors and subcontractors to comply with recent Legislation, PL 1999, C 238 “The Public Works Contractor Registration Act”, by submitting their Certification (or their application of said Certificate, if a Certificate has not yet been issued), the City of Hackensack requires a copy of the contractor’s application for certificate.

The City Council of the City of Hackensack reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to accept the one that in its judgment, will be in the best interest of the City of Hackensack.

Bidder shall submit with the bid proposal guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashiers check, or a bid bond, in the amount of not less the ten percent 10%) of the amount of the bid, not to exceed $20,000.00 made payable to the City of Hackensack.
