CITY OF HACKENSACK
NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed Bids for furnishing and delivering to the City of Hackensack a proposal to contract for PRINTING REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CITY OF HACKENSACK, to be received by the City Council of the City of Hackensack, Bergen County, New Jersey, in the Council Chambers, 3rd Floor, City Hall, 65 Central Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey, on TUESDAY, January 24, 2006,10:00 A.M., at which time they will be publicly opened and read.

Specifications for the above may be obtained at the office of the Director of Purchasing, 65 Central Avenue, Hackensack, New Jersey, between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M., daily, except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.

The City of Hackensack WILL NOT mail specifications. All Specifications shall be obtained in person.

Proposals shall be enclosed in sealed envelopes and the envelope shall have written on it, plainly, the contract to which it refers.

Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1975 c 127.

Copy of Contractors registration Certificate or a copy of application for such Certificate must be presented with submitted bid, if not bid will be rejected.

Bidder must have a Business Registration Certificate of bid will be rejected.

Bidder must include in bid package l) Letter of Federal Approval, or, 2) Certificate of Employee Information Report, or, 3) Complete Form AA 302 (which will be sent on request).

The City of Hackensack requires Public Works contractors and subcontractors to comply with recent Legislation, P.L. 1999, C, 238 "The Public Works Contractor Registration Act," by submitting their Certification (or their application of said Certificate, if a Certificate has not yet been issued), the City of Hackensack requires a copy of the contractor's application for certificate.

The City Council of the City of Hackensack reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to accept the one that in its judgment will be in the best interest of the City of Hackensack.

Bidder shall submit with the bid proposal guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashiers check, or a bid bond, in the amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, not to exceed $ 20,000.00 made payable to the City of Hackensack.
