City officials are preparing for the snowstorm expected to hit New Jersey today. The City is treating this as a Snow Emergency and the Hackensack DPW, Hackensack PD, and Hackensack FD will be preparing their crews accordingly.

"The weather forecasters are saying this could be a major snowstorm and the City is taking it seriously," said Mayor John Labrosse. “Our fantastic team at the DPW has been preparing for several days, and their crews are ready to go. They are out there battling the elements all year to keep our City running, and their work does so much to ensure public safety. We cannot thank them, the Fire Department, and Police Department enough for all of the hard work they do to keep us safe."
