The City of Hackensack is pleased to announce they held a successful “Boo Thru” event on Saturday October 31, at Foschini Park. It was hosted by the Hackensack Department of Recreation, with assistance from the DPW and Police and Fire Departments.
Deputy Mayor David Sims got in on the fun and spent the day handing out candy. Sims said, “I’m glad the city was able to host this event and provide a safe-socially distanced event for Halloween. It was great to see the joy on the kids and parents faces, and it was definitely needed. I want to thank the Hackensack Departments of Recreation, DPW, and the Police and Fire Departments for all their hard work putting this event together for our children.”
The event featured a winding path of numerous spooky displays and exhibits. Approximately 300 cars stopped by the event and over 1,000 bags of candy were distributed.
