City of Hackensack Allowing Pre-Payment of 1st and 2nd Quarter 2018 Property Taxes
HACKENSACK, N.J. -- The City of Hackensack will be accepting 2018 early 1st and 2nd quarter property tax pre-payments from taxpayers interested in making payments in the 2017 calendar year before changes to federal tax law take effect. The city tax collector's office will be open during regular business hours this week to accept payments in person. Payments can also be made online by visiting the city's tax portal here: https://wipp.edmundsassoc.com/Wipp/?wippid=0223.
Taxpayers making payments the on city website (www.hackensack.org) on Dec. 30 or 31 - up to midnight (after the office has closed) will receive confirmation that a payment was made (in 2017) and those payments will be posted by the tax office on Jan. 2, 2018 using the 2017 date the actual payment was made.
In addition, taxpayers have an ACH option (e-check withdrawal from their checking account) with a flat transaction fee of $1.05, however credit and debit cards are also available.
