The City of Hackensack and The Hackensack Cultural Arts Center has been the home to The Bard since 2002. We present 6 shows through the summer on Wednesday Nights. Since its inception we have been working with a professional Shakespeare Company called Hudson Shakespeare Company. They have taken William Shakespeare famous quote "All the worlds a stage" and use it as the basis of the production presentations. They have the professionalism and the talent to present a show anywhere in any park. In Hackensack our home park is Staib Park. They create a, around the campfire storytelling style, using their well trained instrument of there voice, props and costumes. They perform the stories the same way they did in Shakespeare's time 300 years ago. Picnicking is not only allowed but it is encouraged!
Schedules will be posted mid March. Two Wednesdays in June, two in July and two in August. If it rains the performance moves inside to The Hackensack Cultural Arts Center 39 Broadway in Hackensack.
