2008 Program Flyers

Note:  We register for all programs a season ahead. Therefore, if you're looking to participate in a FALL sport please contact the Recreation Department at the BEGINNING of SUMMER/END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR. Also, please look for any flyers throughout the school system. (All are available at the Recreation Center.)  Once you register for a program, a coach will call you when the registration period has ended and inform you of practice/game time and locations.  All programs are for Hackensack Residents only or children of the sending School Districts, with the exception of our summer program which is only open to residents.  Volunteers are always needed.

General Programs
Times/Dates/Cost will vary. This information will provided info when it becomes available.

Tennis Lessons for Adults and Children
Lessons are held at Johnson Park Tennis Courts in Fall and Spring. Instructors are provided by Tennis Dynamics.

Karate Lessons for ages 5-13 
Lessons are held at Shotokan Karate School on Main Street.

Ice Skating Lessons for Children in grades 1-8
Lessons are held at the Ice House in Hackensack.

Open Gym Open to Students in Middle/High School
At the Recreation Center from 3-5pm, Middle school students Tue/Fri, High school students Mon/Thurs.

Seniors in Motion Exercise Class
Classes are held at the Recreation Center. Registration Free for Hackensack Residents. Typically 8 weeks/Hour long, Taught by professional instructor.
 
Winter 2008
Hackensack Junior Wrestling
In-person Registration Dates: Thursday, October 25th, Monday, October 29th, Thursday, November 1st, from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Recreation Center. Open to children Ages 7-14 or Grades 2-8

Hackensack Youth Basketball
Registration Deadline: November 30th
Open to children ages 5-13 (5 & 6 yr. old is INSTRUCTIONAL ONLY)

Girls Junior Field Hockey
In-Person Registration Dates: January 18th 2008 from 7:30- 9:00 pm at the East Wing Gym of HHS
Open to girls in Grades: 5-8

Dates of Program: FRIDAYS, Jan 18th - March 7th 2008 [No Class Feb 22nd]
