Social Services
Referral and information services for Hackensack residents. The department provides food packages, clothing, and monetary assistance to individuals and families that may be facing an emergency situation, and are not eligible for any other financial program. This assistance is subject to availability, due to the fact that the agency relies solely on donations received. During holiday seasons, food baskets and toys are distributed to needy individuals, families, and children. Services are provided to homebound individuals for all programs.
