LICENSE: Possession of a valid Registered Environmental Health Specialist License issued by the NJ Department of Health and Senior Services. Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position.

TREE MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR - HACKENSACK CITY, Bergen County- Full Time Position. Seeking a full time employee to supervise and work with crews performing tree and shrub maintenance. Knowledge of working with vertical lift truck is favorable. Able to use pole shears, saws, axes, and other cutting tools to prune trees or remove dead limbs. Supervises the work operations and/or functional programs of the department. Knowledge of planting, inspecting and removal of trees. Must have the ability to give assignments to subordinates and provide them with needed advice in a professional manner. Ensures the proper handling of containers to prevent damage. Use of mowers, weed wackers, leaf blowers, snow blowers, etc. Other related duties as required. Responsible for the installation and maintenance of traffic lines and traffic signs. Knowledge of patching roadway with oil, stone and cold patch. Ability to repair side drains, catch basins and drainpipes. Ability to plow snow, operate salt trucks and operate road equipment. Under the direction of the Zoning Officer, examines the working plans of proposed buildings for their compliance with state, county, and local zoning laws, ordinances, rules and regulations. MECHANIC DIESEL – HACKENSACK CITY, Bergen County **NIGHT SHIFT (4pm to Midnight) & DAYTIME SHIFT (8pm – 4pm) - Salary Range: $40,000 - $56,100- must possess a NJ valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class “A”. Must have practical shop, computer diagnostic experience and be knowledgeable in diesel engines. Experience in repairing Police Vehicles, Light to Heavy Duty Trucks, Construction Equipment, Landscaping Equipment, & Snow Removal Equipment. Diagnoses trouble, disassembles engines, and examines parts for defects and excessive wear. Reconditions and replaces parts such as pistons, bearings, gears, valves, and bushings, and using engine lathes, boring machines, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments. Successful completion of one (1) year of training in automotive technology at an accredited community college or vocational school. Two (2) years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of diesel engines. Applicants who do not possess the required year of formal training may substitute one (1) additional year of experience. ELECTRICAL INSPECTOR- HACKENSACK CITY, Bergen County. FULL TIME (40 hrs. per week) / PART TIME (20 hrs. per week) positions available. Under direction, reviews plans and performs electrical inspection work to enforce the State Uniform Construction Code, the electrical subcode, and regulations adopted pursuant to the Uniform Construction Code Act; does other related work. Must be able to inspect and evaluate electrical work on construction projects. Must be able to inspect electrical installations in existing buildings for conformance with the minimum safety standards incorporated in the regulations of the Uniform Code and relevant laws within the jurisdiction.
