BUILDING INSPECTOR – HACKENSACK CITY, Bergen County **PART TIME** (20-25 HOURS PER WEEK) Under direction, inspects new and existing buildings and structures to ensure compliance with the state uniform construction code. Enforces same to ensure public safety, health, and welfare does related work as required. PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE – CITY OF HACKENSACK, Bergen CountyPart-Time Position.  Under direction, teaches, counsels, and provides public health nursing services in homes, clinics, and schools to individuals and families in the community.  Uses knowledge from nursing, social, and public health sciences to promote and protect the health of populations through core public health functions.  Responds to health questions during visits or while giving health demonstrations and lectures to the community.  Educates the public on preventative health measures.  Maintains medical records and files.  Applicant will be responsible for duties as a P/T school nurse, including maintaining immunization records, vision, hearing, and scoliosis screenings, and first aid as needed.  Candidate is also required to work in a clinic 3-4x/month, which includes patient intakes for physical exams, lead tests, mantoux tests, hearing and vision screenings, educating parents on development, and administering vaccines.  Applicant must possess a valid registration as a Professional Nurse in the State of New Jersey, and must possess a bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Public Health.  Applicant must have one (1) year of experience in a public health field or nursing experience under close supervision of a licensed Public Health Nurse.  Appointees are required to possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.  Salary D.O.Q.  Please email resume to Cassandra Seshadri:  apply@hackensackdpw.org
